IT Admin
We are seeking a skilled IT Admin to join our team and manage our organization’s technology infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain Hardware and Software:
– Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
– Monitor and manage server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
-Conduct regular hardware and software audits to identify and resolve issues.
– Inventory administration of company assets such as computers, monitors, and other equipment.
2. Monitor System Performance:
– Monitor network and system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or performance issues.
– Optimize system performance by implementing necessary upgrades or enhancements.
3. Data Storage and Backups:
– Develop and implement data storage and backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
– Monitor and manage storage systems, including disk space allocation and optimization.
– Conduct regular data backups and verify the integrity of backup files.
4. Cybersecurity:
– Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
– Monitor network and system security, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and industry best practices to ensure a robust security posture.
5. Application Management:
– Install, configure, and maintain business applications and software systems.
– Ensure application availability, performance, and compatibility with existing systems.
– Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues.
6. Troubleshooting & IT Support:
– Provide technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
– Respond to help desk tickets, addressing technical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
– Document and track support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
7. Overall Network Maintenance:
– Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
– Perform regular network maintenance tasks, such as firmware updates and network device configuration.
– Collaborate with network engineers or vendors to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience working as an IT Admin or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software systems, including servers, operating systems, and business applications.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure components and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Implement Help Desk ticketing system.
- Hardware asset management and inventory.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus.
